Conclusion
It is safe to say that Low's cartoons were an accurate depiction of the feelings of the citizens during the time period surrounding World War Two. He was confident in his beliefs and opinions, and spoke out when others could not. Although other citizens had similar viewpoints, regarding the Nazi regime, they were oppressed and could not find an outlet to express their feelings without being harmed. David Low was the voice of the people and accurately expressed what others would not dare say in the midst of the harsh government rule that had taken over their nation. He was open about his opinions, and felt that the government needed to know how the citizens truly felt about the new ruling powers.
